My fellow Americans, don't be fooled by Trump's false reasons for introducing tariffs. These tariffs are Trump's backdoor introduction of a federal tax to offset the massive tax cuts he plans to give the ultra-wealthy and their corporations. Musk knows this and has warned of a period of 'hardship'.

Regarding discussions about federal funding for WNC post-Helene, here’s a reminder of how hard Gov. Cooper has worked to assure more federal help. As disappointed as I am in the response from the NCGOP in the state legislature, I’m grateful to Gov. Cooper & Biden for arranging this deal last week.

Exactly what SCOTUS ruled. Colorado (or any other state) couldn't preemptively block Trump's appearance on their primary ballot. But certifying the Electoral College ballots without first addressing the 14th Amendment § 3 issue would violate the Constitution. Not holding my breath though.
Not that anyone’s going to do anything about it, but it might be good to remember that, as an adjudicated oath-breaking insurrectionist, Mr.Trump is constitutionally disqualified under Sec. 3 of 14th Am from taking the oath as president on 1/20/25 unless 2/3 of both houses lift the disqualification

It’s snowing & normally I’d be excited, but not after Helene. I’m thinking about the people in tents, cars, campers & shelters. 😞 My local news just reported that there are 1100-1200 children now without permanent housing in Buncombe County alone. Please don’t forget about WNC.
