Enjoying the 4th quarter deep in the woods of the Poconos (NEPA) with the best husband on earth at my side, rescue dog “Bear” cat “Noel” and a plethora of woodland birds and animals.

“Four top partners at Paul Weiss announced late Friday that they were leaving the law firm, a major blow to the firm in the wake of its decision to cut a deal with President Trump to head off an executive order that would have restricted its business.”

I retired one week ago and find the transition quite complex. An unexpected deep exhaustion set in as stress and anxiety fell away. Self reflection and reset of a long embedded mindset is not as easy as you would think. One day at a time is the best I can do.

My geraniums wintering inside brought a few friends with this year, snapdragons and wild violets! It will be another six weeks + in my zone before they can go outside but I see the light at the end of this cold tunnel and thats all that matters.

So Courts can stay open for 2 weeks or so after a shutdown.
BUT, what about after the shutdown is over…
Are lawsuits against decisions made during shutdown possible?
Or, is it like - say - a martial law scenario where the The White House word is law?

Could someone out there write a definitive guide on convenient alternatives to using Amazon.com for goods and books and whatnot?
