I find myself turning to Mary Oliver’s poetry a lot lately. She had a very difficult childhood and retreated to nature for solace and joy. I love the quiet beauty and wisdom of her work. Here’s her poem “Today.”

A person I love is in the ICU with a dying parent, and I'm across the country trying to help my father, who has dementia and a host of other issues, with his health, so here's a picture of my youngest dog being adorable.
