Today was a planning day. Realised I'd messed up my pacing and needed to go back to the drawing board and add more development to act 2 of the story. Once I get to the editing stage I'm also probably going to cut chapter 5 into 2 chapters, to give the big reveal at the end more time to breathe.

After some hiccups brought on by unsolicited critique, chapter 6 is finally done- brought to you by the K-Pop Demon Hunters soundtrack played at ungodly volumes.

Finally got the first 600 pages of chapter 5 down today. Twas rough going, but I'm slowly getting better at pushing through the self doubt to just get the bones of a scene on the page. It doesn't have to be perfect it just has to be done.

There are people proudly doing real Nazi shit on main. ICE is sending innocent people to concentration camps. The president is soft launching a dictatorship. But we're preoccupied with a necklace?
Sounds about right, tbh. Why do anything about real problems when you can lose your mind over nothing.

Chapter 4 is DONE! I've hit 10k! Not bad for 5 weeks of effort, after years without writing at all. There are moments where it almost flows freely, but mostly it's still really hard. I've had a few mini flare ups as I've pushed myself to work through a block here and there. But I'm not giving up!

Finished chapter 3 a couple of days ago, but I think I want to take another crack at it before I move on. Most of it was written late one night when I made myself stay up to get the bones of it done, so I know I left some important stuff out.

It's fantastic! So glad it has been revived through the YouTube channel and Patreon, it was such a staple of my viewing habits growing up and watching old episodes has been a real comfort lately.

I love the rivalmances and pacing in DA2, but I *think* Inquisition *just* beats it for me, because of the range and overall quality.
Plus being able to go and chat to or smooch the LI at any time, which I sorely missed in both 2 and VG.

For me, it was Hawke. It took a toll on her, but she loved being the big flashy hero. HoF & Inky are proud of saving the world but would rather have read about it than done it. Rook liked being a hero but was hugely overwhelmed by the leadership aspect.

Worth it if only for the chance to delve into the archives of the Great Cathedral in Val Royeaux. I imagine there must be historical wonders on par with those locked away in the Vatican within those hallowed halls!

Call me crazy but B- Orlais. As a minor noble, I'll go under the radar. Visit Val Royeaux and Halamshiral when necessary but mostly stay in my estate somewhere green and quiet, where I can read my books, research obscure history and meet my grisly end to an elven artefact instead of a hired bard.
