Pastels are one of those mediums that I rarely ever touch, but are a such blast every time I do.

Lazy cardiac anatomy here, but being an artist prior to getting into medicine helps me visualize how 12-Lead ECG’s map over the heart’s surface 🫀⚡️

Almost all I’ve done since I moved back to New England a decade ago is work. I made it from being a basic EMT to Medic/RN and am now happily boppin’ around what is likely the most upbeat ICU in Maine’!
This means I finally have time to get back to making art in life. No more 72-96 hour work weeks 🙌

This year I’ve been living far more intentionally and I made it to Portsmouth’s light festival with my guy. It was a small but wonderful event to make it out too.
This is just a loose color study of the night. I may clean up the perspective later, but it’ll do 🌟

I’m happily doodling away on this year’s Christmas card! I purposely went with a bleak color palette to contrast against the cardinal which I’m using to represent hope and resilience.
