I’ve really only just started in the CTICU but I think I’ve finally found my medical ‘home’ in life!

The CTICU has a reputation for a lot of things, but ya know what? It’s fun! The recoveries can be incredibly rewarding to experience ☺️

In other news one of my favorite flight nurses made the suggestion to re-join the team. While I’m honored, I’m still not convinced it’s the right path forward for me.

So many mixed emotions there, but I’m glad to be an indoor cat, at least for now 🏥🐈

The last 4 days in the ICU have been a rollercoaster for me, but my patient is very much alive now which is the best possible outcome to all the mayhem that it took to get there ❤️

Precedex can cause a gnarly fever in about 5-7% of the population! I learned this the hard way recently on a hand off. Stop the precedex and standard temp management until things simmer off 🧊

The ICU routinely kicks my butt ad a nurse, but the truth is I think I’d be under-stimulated almost anywhere else sans the emergency department.
