Noteworthy, too, that the Indiana GOP didn't come anywhere close to maxing out the available "yes" votes.

The measure still fails if it gets five more GOP votes, which means five GOP senators could have had cover if they needed it.

They decided they didn't need it.

Yeah I definitely assumed Boston was going to get her and that's probably the one place that would have made more sense than staying in Chicago

Saying "it's good that this is happening" isn't the same as saying "the people who are doing this are good."

Scumbag politicians figuring out what the progressive base wants and giving it to them is an essential part of making the country better. Always has been, always will be.

I mean what would you rather have? A functioning society or bathrooms without litter boxes in them?

I do enjoy that this was followed down thread by people whining that it's rigged

Honestly this isn't indicative of this issue, but this move fits in the universe of Social Media Operation dba Soccer Team

But to be honest I don't think Naeher sells tickets anymore. I think she's lost a step and the team that has the most to gain with her on the roster is Chicago, with the familiarity and the sparing of fan outrage if she left, so it almost seemed like a destined return to me

Maybe the market for her isn't as great as she thought. She's rated the worst starting keeper in the league last year on expected goals minus goals allowed

If you are born here, and you are subject to our laws, you're one of us. You're an American, and you have all the rights that Americans have, from the moment of your birth. Period. No exceptions.

That's what the Fourteenth Amendment says, and it's fucking beautiful.

The truth is that the sentence wasn’t inaccurate – it was removed because of legal fears. And that’s exactly the concern my lecture raises: when institutions start censoring themselves out of fear of those in power. /3
