The Worst Drug Trips Ever Animated : The Retro Network
Back in the 80s, Nancy Reagan led the charge to keep kids drug-free. I was a child of D.A.R.E., but even without that, my television made sure to teach me that “Drugs Are Bad.” I CONTINUE READING...

A 1995 ad for Entomorph: Plague of the Darkfall, an action RPG for PCs by Cyberlore Studios

Cyberlore flexed their action RPG chops from their work on 1994's Al-Qadim: The Genie's Curse (an adaptation of TSR's Al-Qadim TTRPG) with a bug-filled quest set in SSI's mechamagic World of Aden setting.

Great ad!!
A 1991 ad for The Bard's Tale on the NES, an RPG originally by Interplay for PC platforms

FCI's ad focuses on "the awesome weapon of magical music" as players "step into the action with 3-D perspective" in a slimmed down version of the PC classic. Buy two FCI games and get a free WCW T-shirt!

One of the greatest games ever. Played all 3 games on my Commodore 64.
The Bard's Tale (1985) by Interplay was an iconic CRPG dungeon crawl that debuted on the Apple II and was ported to a wide variety of PCs. Skara Brae reels under the cruel grip of the wizard, Mangar, daring heroes to rise, fight, and crush evil with spell, sword, and song! (a pubgeon crawler thread)

I loved this game! One of the many reasons to own a Genesis.
Dungeons & Dragons: Warriors of the Eternal Sun (1992) was an RPG by Westwood Associates for the Sega Genesis. On the eve of destruction as goblins ready their final assault, you and your lord's castle are suddenly pulled to a strange world where you must find allies to survive! (a red sun thread)
