I think they're both great shooters with pretty significant pacing issues, with CoD2 having too many "hold out for reinforcements" segments compared to the first game and almost twice as many British missions compared to the others.

It's great when it's doing the Halo thing of big ass battles with its trademark combat, but when it's being a corridor shooter, it's sludge. They're remaking the game for the second time and they're still touting "improved wayfinding" because of the amount of identical hallways.

The secret level in Blood that has this playing the entire time being one of the hardest levels in the whole game has quickly become one of my favorite examples of the Always Sunny staple of "everything's going to shit, play the upbeat music."

I spent like 3 hours downloading a Tony Hawk 2 demo off of Happy Puppy and then played it with a keyboard using spacebar to ollie and Z, X, and C for tricks. It was the coolest.
