Got the ponies on my mind, bourbon in my soul, roses in bloom—and still no sign of my mint julep! Wearing my Derby best and racing toward the finish line in style. #KentuckyDerby #RaceForTheRoses #WhereIsMyMintJulep #HatGoals

Cabling like a fool in 30° Florida humidity with Falkland Merino & silk mohair—sweaty, stubborn, and sublime. Yarn from Stephen & Penelope, a luxe souvenir from my 65th in Amsterdam. #knitting #yarnlove #stephenandpenelope #blueskycrafting #hotweatherknitting #fiberjoy

Just finished a Noro entrelac stole—my own shortened take on the classic Lady Eleanor. Loving the texture and color shifts!

Just flipped through my 1958 copy of The Emperor’s New Clothes—had donkey’s years—the illustrations hit different these days. That emperor’s just the right shade of orange. Uncanny.

In Victorian London, flower girls sold violets to survive—until John Groom offered them hope. Hazel Gaynor’s A Memory of Violets beautifully reimagines their story. A moving tribute to resilience and compassion. #BookSky #CurrentlyReading #Libby

Loving how Sarah Wynn-Williams uses that iconic Gatsby line in her new book—and even calls it Careless People. Such a perfect nod to Fitzgerald. A chilling read that’ll make you want to ditch Facebook in a hurry.

Williams draws sharp parallels between The Great Gatsby and the chaos of social media, all illusion, performance, and a troubling lack of responsibility. These platforms now have the power to shape public opinion, even choose our leaders, a sobering reflection on where we’re headed. 💙📚#booksky

Address Unknown, a gripping, unforgettable novella told through letters, unraveling a friendship against the rise of Nazi Germany. Published in 1938, it remains chillingly relevant today. Reading for the third time, it still hits just as hard. A must-read if you can get your hands on it! #booksky

While I was overseas for seven years, husband thought he was doing me a favour and washed my Noro Lady Eleanor. I was devastated. It’s felted and flat as a pancake, started ripping it apart. However, the yarn will never be the same. Now knitting this instead with new Noro.

Currently Listening to It Can’t Happen Here by Sinclair Lewis on Libby—chilling how a 1935 novel about fascism in America still feels eerily relevant today. #SinclairLewis #ItCantHappenHere #LibbyApp #Audiobook #DystopianFiction #HistoryRepeats
