I probably would have written something like "Met with a constituents today, discussion was productive, he seemed to understand 'affordability'" but that was ok.

If people felt like the government had something to offer them they would vote whether or not they understood the difference between their vote and the electoral college.

The President is just where the buck stops. Well before voters became disaffected with their President they were disaffected with their legislature, judges, mayors, city councils, police chiefs, and school boards. I think this perception is borne of a system wide failure to preserve class mobility.

People at large see their path upward as a densely packed minefield and people who make it through that minefield think they were uniquely suited to dodge mines. When someone says their vote doesn't matter it means their life hasn't materially changed during the years they have been voting.

For example, if those accounts are accurate but he was also casually racist would you stick around? How about sexist? If you thought one of the women looked a little young would you ask questions? Or would it all be gravy because your id is being fed by someone objectively at the top of the world.

I think its better to consider if you have standards for the people you spend time with. Every account i have read is clear: Epstein was personable, tossed around a lot of money and was consistently surrounding himself with young scantily clad women. All three of those things wil excuse a lot of bad

I said it in another thread but I'll repeat it again: I am tired of extrapolation. No one but the most unhinged think that the rich are intrinsically child molesters but when one of them who is at the center of a network of many others is convicted its reasonable to take a closer look.

Wouldn't this dip make sense based on the fundamentals though? Looking at the economy it seems reasonable that both retail and institutional investors would be more interested in liquidity than speculative investments. Plus its easier to dump bitcoin than van Gogh or Pokémon cards...
