... 'team X are playing at home to team Y'. Why 'to'?
'X go away to Y', fine, 'X lost to Y', fine. But 'at home to'.. no. It's similar to 'X won to Y'... no! 'Lost to' or 'away to', not 'won to' or 'home to'
This is a fairly modern development. I've tried to ignore it but I just can't.
