This is no time minimize or look away from what's happening in Chicago.

I have to say that some of us were making the point last week that “no Guard in Chicago” did NOT AT ALL equal “no ICE surge in Chicago,” and it’s not a little frustrating that I’m now seeing that info trickle into broader awareness only because it’s being framed as “the MSM didn’t tell us.”

A good test case for what's to come. It worked this time!
Was there today for the H.R. 9495 vote (bill that would have allowed labeling nonprofits as terrorist supporting organizations).

Voted no, of course - but I do want to report that the activism DID work and persuaded members.

I thought it’d be a lonely NO vote, which we take often. It wasn’t.

I have investigated cops, courts and multiple levels of government for over 20 years. This also applies on every other front too.

Their powers are not infinite. Nowhere close. In fact they are, on pretty much every level, a lot more rickety than they look. They need propaganda and fear for a reason
The key points here:

- Authority knows that even in a controlled environment engineered for surveillance, it can't possibly catch everything

- The fear in the omnipresence of invisible surveillance is an effective deterrent

- Surrendering to the assumption you will be caught is obeying in advance

Need some reading about liberation? Haymarket Books is giving away a specific set of books on the topic (and $2 on all Ebooks!)

Incoming Trump border czar Tom Homan on blue state governors saying they will protect people from deportation raids: "If you're not gonna help us, get the hell out of the way. Because we're going to do it ... we may have to double the number of agents we send to New York City."

Last month I screened my forthcoming nature documentary ANTARCTICA UNEARTHED on a freaking IMAX screen(!)

Seeing a smaller-than-a-millimeter tardigrade I filmed be nearly 50 feet tall was geektasticly thrilling 🤗
