@sanders.senate.gov I worked for a company that owned many nursing homes. Many residents received Medicaid benefits. They were indigent, very sick residents, with complicated medication regimes with no one at home to care for them. What will happen to these vulnerable residents if Medicaid is cut?

Alzheimer’s Disease is a devastating illness for
patients/families. Slowly watch your mother or loved one slip away, hoping for a few moments of lucidity when they remember your name. To cut research funding is beyond unconscionable! To reps so willing to cut research funds, hope it isn’t you!

Take a stand if asked to compromise your professional integrity/character. Protect patients, follow explicitly federal regs governing your business, lead for excellence and your team. If you get fired, you can sleep at night knowing you stood up for what’s right. I was fired and would do it again.

Never thought fighting bumper to bumper traffic on I 65 on a Friday would be a welcome distraction from US politics but here we are!

Public Health Update: maybe I am late to the game but there is a new Pneumonia Vaccine approved last fall. May provide coverage for more strains than Prevnar and only one dose needed. Capvaxive. Thanks to my neighborhood pharmacist! I will block anti-vaxxers. 💕
