I missed this until today but want to share it because it’s great.
I’ve been increasingly conscious of anti-AI witch hunting, as well as the conflations and equivalences tarring legitimate creative tech with the same brush. It’s gonna hurt the fight against Regurgitative AI.

AI’s plagiarism laundering should absolutely be fought with zeal, but false accusations, ignorance of art techniques, misunderstanding the problem to the point of “computers bad,” it’s all gonna discredit and obfuscate the thing that should be fought.
Same goes for using “AI” as a casual insult.

Confusing what is and isn’t Derivative AI only serves the interests of the scumbags pushing it. They *want* confusion, it provides cover for their wholesale bootlegging.
If a thing’s not confirmed to be AI-poisoned yet, wait before grabbing a pitchfork. It never takes long to be exposed.

Also, Illusory Wall does great work generally, in the unlikely event you’re unaware. I can never get enough of Dark Souls design dissections, and IW’s work is really comprehensive but easily digestible.
