A fascinating and sobering read. Kemp argues catastrophic societal collapse is likely due to extreme inequality. Can we change our fate by embracing true democracy and rejecting dominance?

Australia is one of the biggest gas exporters in the world, but we're told to worry about a domestic gas shortage?

Might have something to do with the fact that 80% of our gas is exported.

We have a gas export problem, not a supply problem.

It's so strange!

This is a site I love, showing where Australia and the rest of the world fit in terms of distance from the equator. It's a real eye opener. You think of the south of NZ's South Island as close to the pole, but it really isn't, comparatively.

You can’t reconcile ‘America First’ with putting Australia first. It’s beyond time to rethink the fundamentals of the US-Australia alliance

Where does ‘America first’ leave Australia?
A smart government would take the opportunity to actually put Australia first. But history tells us that is not the Australian way.

The US intelligence gathering base Pine Gap, in outback Australia is Washington’s most important base outside of the USA'.

Close it down. Kick the Yanks out. Let America deal with thier own shit. They can move Pine Gap to Hawaii.

Get rid of it, Australia. It's just Trump's spy base now.

Sky News’ regional broadcasts may vanish after June if Network 10, which now controls the licences, drops it in favour of Nickelodeon or other content. Sky’s reach to 7M regional Aussies and its $108M revenue is on the line.

Let’s hope Network 10, dump the Sky News slop.
