What a great story, love your writing! I started deer hunting two years ago and had a similar issue with the scope. Fun to see deer at least. Being out at sunrise/sunset is magical.

Curious to know what you find out. We checked out three different shops in 2020 and went with Heppner's. It was a horrible experience, took five visits to get a relatively simple repair completed satisfactorily.

They do an annual survey and I've been responding for years just so I can make this request.

A couple years ago, word got out on my block that someone was trying to break into a home one weekend afternoon. A doorbell cam photo of the guy was sent to everyone. Panic ensued. Turns out it was a friend of a neighbor who went to the wrong house. No one ever apologized for the false accusation.

In 1997 I (and 300+ others) flew on a DC-10 from MSP to GFK for the day to help with flood clean-up. I remember the pilot commenting that the runway was on the shorter end for the aircraft. I see their long runway is 6701 ft. I've always been curious how much of a feat that was.
