The “problem” with vaccines? They so effective at preventing deaths that they create generations of people that question whether disease was a problem in the first place because they have never experienced the horrors of a world without vaccines.

Looking at Meta…Peak results, subsequent weakness in the stock, hellacious spending binge through 26’ with likely little to show for it, consumer spending is weakening and packages under $800 getting tariffed…their advertising leans more towards goods than services

His strategy rn is spray and pray

Used to be my commute into work. Man I miss NYC.
Always love to ride the NYC Ferry (for $4.50) on the East River. Couldn't ask for more beautiful August weather when it's usually 100° this time of year.

Here’s a problem: what do you do with a sudden influx of $4M net?
August 6, 2025 at 1:22 AM
This is why I like single stock investing. Prime real estate, beachfront or whatever, never goes on sale. Some of the best companies in the world? Every 1.5yrs lol

Two portfolio changes. Closed the rest of LMT on this down move & have been buying up ASML with my sidelined cash/tbills.

This was well documented during the 2020 protests too, unmarked agents grabbing citizens off the streets.
And how does one know that he/she is being stopped by ICE officers and not gangsters if they wear masks and don’t show ID? Unidentified men in masks disappearing people should be left to cartels, or the secret police in dictatorships. Again, it’s about instilling fear & impunity.

Good luck tying a tariff targeting Apple to some existing nat’l security emergency.

Seems relevant again today.
Where I've settled on politics now is: let them touch the hot stove.

China can endure immense pain based on their political structure, so there’s no reason to work for a deal until pain hits the US where Trump can’t stand any.

Other nations will likely drag their feet until that concludes. I really hope he doesn’t give up Taiwan for some token soybean purchases.

Who did they vote for?
LONGSHOREMAN UNION: “.. Tariffs are taxes. These and other reckless, shortsighted policies have begun to devastate American workers, harm critical sectors of the economy, and line the pockets of the ultra-wealthy at the expense of hardworking families.”

Anyone thinking there’s 3D chess or even checkers guiding this admin’s policy is delusional. Reorient the econ or refinance debt? You’re grasping at straws because you can’t believe they are this bad, but they are.

In general, I’m looking to pick up more $CNQ and big tech during this selloff. Also, looking into possibly something new in SW, like Okta.

Feels like the net result here will be minimal damage to these firms while guaranteeing anyone feeling litigious toward the admin or Trump will have a white shoe firm at their disposal with nothing to lose.
NOW

A third major law firm, WilmerHale, wins a temporary restraining order BLOCKING Trump's executive order targeting it.

"The injuries to plaintiff here would be severe and spill over to its clients and the justice system at large."

If they end up keeping the timeframe, this will fail. Migrations are always blackholes.

The only way Trump & Musk split is if Elon starts to look like an unsuccessful loser to the general public. If it became widely understood that FSD is vaporware and the stock was down ~85-90% with him having meltdowns on TV etc, that would do it.
March 11, 2025 at 3:14 AM
Trump was a good times POTUS until covid, it’s easy to look good when everything moves up and to the right…I think he’s going to preside over bad times now and he’s a clownshow. Hogging the mic will be his political downfall

My alma mater too, and I will 100% send my kids here.
I received an excellent education at Columbia and I would strongly advise any parent against sending their child there now.
