These sorts of comments make me despair for the country. If anyone's loved one could die in prison for a crime that usually gets a fine or a 2yr sentence they'd be appalled. There is a reason the death of Bobby Sands was a permanent stain on the UK. It's just inhumanity.

This is a complete disaster. It doesn't even matter if they manage to somehow maintain quality and output. Exam boards are already screwing young people.

Just like Palestine Action stuff it must just piss Police Officers off. Protestors will stick it on signs as initials or chant something like "Globalise the end of murder!" ...and then watch plod embarrassing themselves on social media... meanwhile someone is ripping off your bike down the road.

I seem to recall there was a rumor of a whip list of MP Westminster shenanigans and you know who featured. It's more of a mark on the state of UK politics and the Tory Party that someone so monumentally incompetently thick can be PM.

Isn't this piracy? At least the English and Spanish had the common sense and basic decency to employ privateers. On a long enough timeline US personnel are going to get caught or killed doing this nonsense and then it's going to get really awkward to explain.

Sounds like a Florida (or US) issue then. It proves the point that some people who don't yet have mobility issues (including apparently some Florida flight staff) see those getting assistance as engaging in some sort of grift. And I've seen that palpable cynicism firsthand.

Florida need to sort out their assistance scheme then? Lots of people who need wheelchairs at airports have limited mobility, not no mobility. In the EU airports I've been to if you need a wheelchair on you go on first, you get a wheelchair off and go off last, it's not an option to try and walk off
