Can I just say (acknowledging I’m being petty here), the NEH termination letter reads exactly like some dipshit DOGE bro used a chatbot to finish an assignment they didn’t understand. I know the quality of our federal colleagues, and they sure as hell didn’t write it.

Enlisted...for all those who identify as female out there, this is the example we need to remember. Bravery isn't a lack of fear. It is doing something you are afraid of. We are all going to have to save ourselves. There will be a lot of people who will say we can't..who will cave in. FUCK...them!

There will apparently be many, many opportunities to point out that Marco Rubio was confirmed with a vote of 99-0
When the judge gave his order, he told Department of Justice lawyers, "This is something that you need to make sure is complied with immediately," WaPo reports. www.washingtonpost.com/immigration/...

Secretary of State Marco Rubio retweeted this "Oopsie... Too late" post from Bukele this morning.

I think some in the Senate have convinced themselves that the backlash to folding will be limited to “the left” and therefore ignorable.

Those people are deeply and profoundly misreading the moment and the stakes.

Virtually every swing district House Dem walked the plank to vote NO for a reason.

Over the last few weeks, we have seen displays of unfettered cruelty.

Cruelty isn’t power. It’s a primal display of weakness and ignorance.

Kindness and empathy are intelligence. We must never forget that.

The coolest thing I’ve seen today is that a bunch of volunteer public health professionals and developers have restored the CDC website from before January 20th 2025.

This differs from an archive in that they want to rebuild the links between pages and replicate the full website.
