The most charitable reading I can give don is that he’s throwing his weight around to try and prevent veto proof majorities. But 1) hes almost certainly just going with his id because he’s Donald trump and 2) even if he was trying to prevent veto proof majorities, this is a horrible way to do it

I think Iowa is in a weird position where it’s going to swing harder than other states, but… all four state leg elections in Iowa in 2025 swung 20+ points. That includes 2 flips in the 8-12 R range, one safe blue seat, and one safe (25+) R seat
