Screenshot from last weeks ratings here. I'm just trying to figure out if you use a a different definition of "average top 5 team" than averaging the current top 5. because using that definition, they should not have been below -14 last week given the massive Arkansas win

@espnbillc.bsky.social question for you regarding resume sp+. By your description, assuming a 2.5 home field advantage, Notre Dame should have had either a -10.7 (if margin is cumulative) or -13.2 (if margin is per game). How did they end up at -21.7? is the definition provided not 100% accurate?

My big take is that, because of this, Aussie style brackets should become the norm in American soccer. Actually reward some regular season success even if the GDs are the same. Stakes need to be higher if anyone can beat anyone.
