One of my favourite films. The way it timed against my own high school experiences. And I love the way they explored friendship.

And here I suppose he’s feeling the weight of it all?

I had the 12 inch MacBook. It was great, and now with the M series chips I wonder if they'll consider bringing it back. A lean machine simply for browsing, typists, and lovers of words.

That's interesting. Wouldn't they all share a similar stroke, a kind of broader alignment on application and how it's made?

Reminds me when Mr. Morale and Die Hard was released. The way it unravels the pain and beauty of looking in, seeing yourself, and choosing to stay.

Halftime show making me go back to Kendrick Lamar. Going through his phrases, his lyricism. What a genius.

The morning AC from the bus can sometimes feel quite overwhelming. It always finds a way to seep through, rushing past and within my chest. But the trick is to stay still, to notice the waves without reacting, hoping my body never signals the cold.

My PhD journey has been anything but smooth. Losing a supervisor set off a chain of emails, outreach, and uncertainty—scraping for something solid, something clear. I don’t know if I’ll find the right supervisor for my research, but I’m still searching.

My morning commute feels so precious. Every decision, every opportunity cost so sharply defined.

The choice between posting and reading, between writing and consuming. Why can’t I give myself this balance within my own transit? Why does it always feel like one or the other?

Came across this on Reddit, a simple yet brilliant system for annotating and bookmarking. Strange but exciting shift in how I read, less about consumption, more about reworking. Literary archaeology.

The past few weekends have been nothing but celebratory, but it also came with bloated stomachs and feeling rather full.

Came across this project that pretty much builds a platform I hope to make for counsellors someday, one that would benefit out case notes and internal brainstorming.

I often use #music as a time machine, capturing a specific memory or feeling from the year, and that's often what keeps them in my #Spotify #OnRepeat playlist.

This year’s listening journey was as complexity as life. What strikes me most is the way this year’s records balanced precision and vulnerability. I also noticed an interplay of opposites: melancholy…

Just attended my first #AcademicConference earlier this week. A swirl of awkward handshakes but meaningful conversations. #Academia is a curious world, balancing itself between its finest moments and its glaring flaws.

Really happy with the ChromeOS. I was able to spend the whole day doing my work inside the Microsoft 365 ecosystem right from my Chrome browser. Everything from pasting an entire EDM into outlook to reviewing content via Office.

Sometimes, it feels almost too daunting to face directly. So I step away, turn my gaze elsewhere, and cautiously edge closer, stealing glances. Just a few words at a time, easing myself into the weight of it. That’s what reading feedback feels like, at least on some days. Not always, thankfully.

Received feedback for my PhD research proposal. Brutal, painful, but nonetheless helpful. He didn't have to do all that but he did. And so I'll be over there by the side, more reading, more editing, more sharpening.

Starting to notice specific areas on my way home. Like when I pass through Tengah and see the sprawling development. That patched rainforest of tall metal cranes, building and building.

New year in full swing, measured by the pace of the early men and women making their way to work. Their strides in pursuit for more money.

I've made a point to listen to the radio this year, specifically for the news. It's great that I'm learning new bits of information every day. US debt might reach $100 trillion. Birds actually can't sweat.

#2024 #music for me was all about the beautiful contradictions: melancholy & euphoria, intimacy & grandeur. Wrote a post to drive deep into the sounds that explored these dualities. #writing

Sunday nights are really meant for this. Hot cup of tea, Wicked's playing in the background behind you and you're relaxing by the kitchen with your laptop, browsing, exploring, finding your hobbies once more.
