Classics teacher, GIS aficionado, walker of Duc, researches urbanization and latinization in Roman Spain, Portugal and Tunisia
Teaching classics means taking pupils to Rome and having them experience the eternal city.
We took the train from Culemborg to Rome, the Odyssey was nothing compared to our adventures... Once in Rome we had four amazing days. Roma, Vatican city and a bike ride. Looking forward to the next trip!

Last week was a bit hectic. I was in Rio the Janeiro to present & teach a #QGIS course at URRJ as part of a collaboration with @uni-hamburg.de. In addition I was interviewed by a Dutch radio station on my research. For those understanding Dutch / brave enough to try:

The Sunday walks were amazing with beautiful, impressive autumn skies. A lovely walk along the Lek river at #Culemborg.
Listening was not mandatory, according to Duc. And zoomies were in place with the branch found along the path.

A minor mistake was made today... In an attempt to scare the ducks, Duc ran into the lush green pasture formed by lemna. Blissfully unaware of the fact it covers a ditch he jumped onto the lemna. Important side note: he hates swimming.
Now back at home with the nice smell of wet dog and ditch water.
