Bentham is just down the road from me, and there’s so much great studio pottery in the area, along with Ingleton and Wensleydale. There are plenty of other potters around as well. I think the long, wet, cold weather up here encourages it—there’s nothing like a warm studio to hide away in.

Can I suggest an Alt text: Only known photo of a potter with the patience to wait until the kiln has fully cooled before unloading it. (not wearing gloves or using the first thing to hand)

So much unnecessary plastic in the world. We've been conditioned for years by petrochemical capitalists to value mass-produced things designed to fail. Bring on the arts and crafts renaissance!

No one likes paying taxes, but the idea that you get what you pay for is often lost. Convoluted systems that need overhauling, and the perception that taxes are wasted, don’t help either. A simpler, more transparent system would be a good start.

I’ve never understood why taxes are always framed negatively. For example, employers complain about NI increases, but why not report it as 'employers unhappy about contributing to social, education, and health benefits for their employees and families'? Taxes collected and spent well benefit us all.

While the typos are fun, some of us are happy to avoid the BBC news. It's really gone so far down hill in recent years. What is the collective term for a grouos of journalists that falls into a biased, misogynistic funk anyway?

Synthesia is not a cheap license. It's been steadily getting better over the last year. What will Adobe charge? I can see it being added to the standard CC package.

To be fair the parks have very little real power and the power they do have is spent telling people that they can't develop in any way, sustainable or not. All while lording over vast areas of barren monoculture that sheep farmers maintain. No young people only old retirees.
