It arrived in one piece and it's being put to work regularly. It's my current favourite of the collection. Which as a thrower and as someone who's only ever bought two hand built pots before, is a great compliment. Thanks Carol - it's beautiful 😍

Sounds like you're due some postdrome soon. 🤞 I've enjoyed this roller coaster for over thirty years and I can totally relate to weird insomnia a migraine can cause. 5HTP can help sometimes. I hope you feel more normal soon.

Still working on espresso cups. I'm trying to make a form that works for how I like to drink an espresso, which I think is a very personal experience for everyone. I'm hung up on the handle at the moment, but it holds and works really well. (Stoneware 1260°C oxidation)

Pepper pots. Stoneware. Everyone keeps asking me if I've made smoke for salt and I keep replying that salt is bad for you. I also consume pepper like a watcher from Fringe.

Trying to blend underglaze a little better. Practice practice. #pottery #northernpottersassociation #stoneware #yorkshiredales

That 70's bowl. At least that's how someone described it. Personally I've always loved orange and black. It's about 10" across, fired to 1280°C oxidation.

A new glaze on a lidded jar. The lid fit is great and the colour depth in the glaze isn't done justice by the photo. Oxidation 1280°C (cone 9). #ceramics #stoneware

Another disappointing pot. But also another learn.

Love the name of your kiln. Let me introduce you to Rosie.

I nearly always do, but sometimes I do wonder if it causes more problems. Right now I've a kiln load drying out very slowly in a cold studio, when I should be glazing them. Does sanding ever cause issues with your underglaze? I've had it cause some wicked off gassing/pinholing. Which I rather like.

Something blue. Stoneware bowl about 16" in diameter.

Does anyone else take photos of pots they see in TV programs because the shapes catches your eye and you want to making the shape yourself, or maybe it's just me. I wish they'd include the potters names in the credits, it'd make things easier.

A little bit of porcelain for my first post. Audrey Blackman with a blue celadon glaze.
