“Sometimes you need a dictator” said by Donald Trump.
How does the so-called beacon of democracy, America, see themselves into that statement?
I am earnestly curious about it.

Referring to his keynote address at the World Economic Forum, Trump told the audience that sometimes “you need a dictator.” To be clear, this is the President of the United Staes telling the world (including us) that we need a dictator, and HE is that dictator.

This is authoritarianism, plain and simple.

The Trump administration is targeting states that didn’t vote for him — including my home state of Vermont.

Using federal power to punish political opponents is anti-democratic and blatantly illegal.

Trump sold the oil from a seized Venezuelan tanker for $500,000,000.. Where is the money? He deposited it in a bank in Qatar where Congress can't get to it.
He stole the oil from Venezuela, but he stole the money from America.
Why has Congress not impeached and imprisoned him for his crimes?

Trump's knowledge of the Arctic, where I lived for more than a decade, seems very limited. He reminds me of an American couple, who came into the tourist office in Tromsø to complain that the midnight sun apparently was the same sun they had back home, wanting their money back!

President Trump “is now basically running our country the way he ran his companies — as a one-man show free to make terrible deals. That management style led to six bankruptcy filings by his companies,” our columnist Thomas Friedman writes.

Donald Trump is the most un-American president in our history. And in his second term, there is no one to constrain his un-American impulses.
