Remember the terrible electric death pit column jumping section in Shinobi 3? Or the ninja dojo spike column spear trap section? They sucked. Shit like that shouldn't be an inspiration for more Shinobi games.

Shinobi AoV adds parry mechanics against otherwise unblockable strong attacks, level sections where you get chased by a wall of instant death like a Kid Chameleon level, air dash 5 times over giant death pits. That's not Shinobi. Maybe someone's dream ninja game under any other name though.

Lizardcube's Wonder Boy: Dragon's Trap was so good, after that they just piss me off by cramming frame-memorization shit into something that doesn't need it
SOR4 was okay at first but then they redid and ruined the final level, plus it was too reliant on invincibility frames and juggling

Pro tip: turn off all AI in Firefox by default, don't overwrite people's config settings without their permission, and make a menu option to opt in to AI if users choose to.

Nah they stopped giving us a choice when they overhauled and ruined the UI entirely years back and forced an update on us that didn't even warn us was a complete hideous overhaul
