Noooooooo, I didn't pay close enough attention to what was actually in the Utena stack at Half-Price, and got two copies of v1 instead of including v5 for a full run D: Still a heck of a find, as is the Emma stack (I've got 1+6 already), and I've never actually gotten around to Jin-Roh.

Wow, something got fucked up with today's Spy X Family episode on Crunchyroll, no audio and a constant flip between two frames while the subs keep going (caution: rapid flashing images), and it looks like it isn't just me getting it.

Wolf & Parchment 5 makes for prose book 22 for the year, and only my second Hasekura for the year after getting sidetracked by Vivy and Apothecary Diaries. While the lead pair themselves aren't as engaging as Spice's Lawrence and Holo, the church reformation through-line more than makes up for it.

Into the back half of Space Pirate Captain Harlock this Stockpile Sunday, with a couple more crew-focused episodes before the plot turns its attention to the civilian population in the Mazone's interstellar caravan, their growing dissent as they reach their limits, and hard choices for both sides.

Starting in on another classic this Stockpile Sunday with Future Boy Conan, and dang, the level of animation on display here is impressive for the era. It's also surprisingly serialized too, even with some more episodic beats it's all chasing a larger narrative (and cliffhanging me tonight).
