Even if they don't win, forcing the GOP to defend +20 districts just burns their resources and is a strategic win even if they don't get a tactical victory there on Tuesday. And it has put a massive damper on redistricting.

I wish they didn't cave, but a fight in Jan could be better ground:
a) SNAP/RIF deal will give GOP less leverage and Dems can't make same excuses.
b) Healthcare will be even more pressing.
c) Epstein files release?
d) Primaries and elections start to get real for GOP House & Senate.

6) We expect you to fight harder in January. Fund USDA to save SNAP and make the January shutdown fight all about healthcare.

Show us your anger at the occupation of our state, against their cruelty, against their corruption, against their vileness. Every Dem needs to fight as hard as their base.

4) This isn't stopping ICE in the streets. This isn't making healthcare more affordable, this isn't stopping authoritarianism. What was the point of this shutdown?

5) You can't negotiate with GOP Nihilism, you just have to resist. They will keep doubling down on their cruelty.

1) We know you took the heat, since you're retiring, for other DNC Senators as useless as Collins.

2) You snatched defeat from the Jaws of victory. Your base gave you victory Tuesday and you immediately ignored them.

3) Caving on things Trump should legally do like SNAP and RIF isn't victory.

I share your anger, but can't they have this same fight 3 months from now as people start to feel the pain of increased premiums and an even worse economy?

I'm most angry that the cave in is about things Trump should legally be doing, but in Feb SNAP will be safe so they could have more leverage.

Exactly, I'm sure there were 10 more who would have caved if it came to it. We can blame Susan Collins and Murkowski, but Dems do it to and only vote if they have to.

Only Chuck Schumer could snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. If I were them I'd make any deal contingent on Grijalva being sworn in and the Epstein file vote finalized as another non-starter before talks can go forward.

As an Illinois resident who has been on the streets resisting ICE, don't cave and squander the only leverage you have. Healthcare is too important and unless you have ironclad guarantees Thune and Trump can't be trusted. We won't forgive you for cowardice. Don't give in.

Ah I didn't see that. Thanks

How much does she even need? She won by +24 in 2024 and raised $13M in one quarter. Unless dairy farmers up there are very, very angry I can't imagine a race like that would need more than $3-4 million unless the GOP really thinks it is a battle ground seat. Polling for 2026 is going to be chaos.

I keep wondering once the fun of shit posting and owning the libs gets old if Gen Z Men will realize their options are either the 5% that become finance bros or being an Asmongold twitch sub and realize that the same corruption making Gen Z revolt around the world is screwing them here.
