It looks like the meeting in Colorado isn't free. Registration is only $45 though, which doesn't go very far. It's the travel costs that will make it difficult for most students to attend.

That was the idea behind the original concept. Hold many small conferences across the country to make it affordable to attend and then have big name speakers give one keynote address to everyone via teleconference (Zoom nowadays). Sigh.

For anyone in the Pacific Northwest, there will be a Canadian CUW+iP in Vancouver, BC in January. (I don't know if they will be giving preference to Canadians, but it looks like there will be an online option.) More info here:

They used to host many smaller regional conferences which made it much easier for students to travel to them. And the locations changed every year. Here's what it looked like for 2024.
