So I just tried to change this, and (no surprise) they want to make user experience miserable if it’s off. Now my mobile email doesn’t sort out promotions from updates from real mail. Or, I did it wrong…

If the punishment for leaking abt illegal/immoral behavior is greater than the punishment for the behavior, expect less leaking & more bad behavior
