ah, but you see, all of the people they previously portrayed as the bad guys are now ideologically aligned to the world's largest economy.

absolutely solid advice, thank you! System Gateway was the one i was going to get, followed up with System Upgrade if we enjoy what we're seeing. i'll put an order in!

I guess my main questions are, is it easy to learn (my main opponent will be my 10yo), and, is it crunchy enough to hold interest for a bit? I've always been a bit crap at card games, but a lot of that is choice paralysis, which I am led to believe is less of an issue with the LCG format.

congratulations on this amazingly successful launch - this rules. quick question - when you say "retailer / coop", do you mean i can join forces with my pals and buy a bunch of copies to share, without being a retailer?

Thanks, that's a good shout. I'm reading through the early chapters to get a feel for it, and they seem really well-balanced for kids and adults to play together. I'll see how I feel when I get to later stuff.

What do you think about playing it with kids? I think my 10yo would like it, but my 8yo would love it (I think).

It really, truly comes across that way. Every little detail (and there are thousands of little details) feels so well-considered. There's a real feeling of care over everything.

Also, while I have your attention, it's incredibly charming how "World Wide Web" is used in this book.

It's so good. My only criticism is that it's too heavy to read in bed.

I dunno how you did it, @jdragsky.bsky.social, you must be a witch yourself, this book is something else. I've never encountered anything like it. Next chance, I'm cracking it out for my kids, my partner, my colleagues, my friends, the strangers at the game shop. It'll be the game I play too much.

There's something deeply and maybe incriminatingly exciting about Yazeba's Bed & Breakfast. It makes me want to play it in a way that honestly few roleplaying game texts do. I just keep reading through the chapters because I want to know what wild idea, what tenderness awaits me on the next page.
