Audio books are for walking and driving, when it's not possible to hold a physical book.

Currently listening to "In Pieces" by Sally Field. Heartbreaking. Powerful. Highly recommend.

(Grateful to have access to Hoopla through my public library.)

Sometimes Christmas comes in September.

The gift isn't wrapped under a tree.

It arrives in the form of email. ♥️

Your piece is powerful. Thank you for your work.

Reminder: "Killers of the Flower Moon" by investigative reporter David Grann (Doubleday, 2017) is riveting, important too.

Highly recommend Paul McCartney Photographs 1963-64: "Eyes of the Storm" exhibit at the DeYoung Museum in San Francisco. Incredible images, video. Powerful to see life through McCartney's lens.

Learn to like dandelions.

Note: A Missouri appellate panel Tuesday (May 27) affirmed a trial court's $611M award for three people who claimed their cancer was caused by Bayer unit Monsanto Co.'s Roundup weedkiller.

Only this year did I discover that dandelions are related to sunflowers AND valuable to pollinators. Dandelions are in the Asteraceae family that includes asters, daisies, sunflowers.

Pass the word. (And please stop spraying poison in the yard.)

Heard David Enrich, @nytimes.com business investigations editor, interviewed on @msnbc.com and pulled into @barnesandnoble.com to buy "Murder the Truth: Fear, the First Amendment, and a Secret Campaign to Protect the Powerful." Spotlights free speech, silencing dissent.

Eagles QB Jalen Hurts re: all-female management team:
“It’s something that happened organically. I was seeking out the best, and that’s how it happened.. And honestly, it’s an eye that I don’t have that I’m able to lean on in certain situations. That’s something I value heavily.”
