Smiling Friends S3 - Yep that's more Smiling Friends. Slight step down from S2 IMO but still just a damn great time.

After 2 playthroughs going opposite routes on most major choices, my personal 'canon' route is (spoilers hidden with rot13) Xrrc Fbane, Erpehvg Jngreobl, Ebznapr Oybaqr Oynmre, Ureb Ivfv, Qba'g Xvyy Fgebhq - but you really can't go wrong with any choice, other romance and other recruit especially.

Dispatch - A truly excellent 'western VN' (for lack of a better term) with some truly incredible writing, voice acting, and directing. It was so good that I immediately played it twice to see what different results my choices would have. If you like story-focused games this is an easy recommend.

Dispatch - A truly excellent 'western VN' (for lack of a better term) with some truly incredible writing, voice acting, and directing. It was so good that I immediately played it twice to see what different results my choices would have. If you like story-focused games this is an easy recommend.

Same boat, mine was Crow Country. So easy to miss so many games. I've calculated out that I've got about 500 hours of devoted me time a year, once one or two behemoths take half of that there's only so much left to spread around.

Yup yup. I used to play close to every major release mid-2010s, and his year even with finishing more media being a goal, I've played like 6 games to completion, vs IE 36 anime and 33 movies. With games being so big and life being so busy there's just so little room for these behemoths.

Frankenstein (2025) - Arguably the best monster movie maker of all time adapting arguably the best monster novel ever written ends up with a pretty damn great film. It won't be for everyone and does have some issues, but as a big fan of both Frankenstein and GDT I loved it. My #1 film of the year.

Sept/Oct - Spent most of September injured or on vacation, got back to the gym in October but between vacation and Halloween candy have gained a couple of pounds. Can hopefully drop em in November.

Agreed, PLA is my favorite Pokemon game since BW2, but PLZA is probably right behind it and I'm happy it was another unique take on the formula rather than just PLA2, and it makes me much more excited to see what PL3 has in store for us in a few years.

Pokemon Legends ZA - Janky controls, terrible graphics, a jarring lack of voice acting, and a dull overworld weren't enough to prevent me from having fun with this one. Among the garbage are a lot of really fun gems here that make for a great time for Pokemon fans.

Vending Machine Isekai S2 - I never thought I'd watch a show where a sentient vending machine uses telekinesis to waterboard a cultists with mentos and diet coke while lamenting his own crimes against humanity, but here we are.
