Sometimes I wonder what the world would be like if dogs had people hands instead of feet
November - some damage to my weight from Thanksgiving and a bit low on gym days, but at least my lift totals are back towards my pre-injury levels.

I am now at 999 games owned on Steam. Taking suggestions for what my 1000th game should be.

Thanksgiving cooking day 1 complete - turkey stock, pumpkin pie, and sourdough bread complete, as well as turkeys spatchcocked and dry brining with compound butter. Turkeys, taters, gravy, veggies, and rolls tomorrow.

Forgot to post before, but finished my PLZA living dex. Taking a break from it now to play Expedition 33 before DLC drops.

Sept/Oct - Spent most of September injured or on vacation, got back to the gym in October but between vacation and Halloween candy have gained a couple of pounds. Can hopefully drop em in November.

Vending Machine Isekai S2 - I never thought I'd watch a show where a sentient vending machine uses telekinesis to waterboard a cultists with mentos and diet coke while lamenting his own crimes against humanity, but here we are.

#4, now we're talking.

#3, Continuing the trend of very uninspiring shinies so far.

PLZA shiny 2, hour ~20.

First PLZA shiny, about 7 hours in.

Bring Her Back - Tentatively my frontrunner for Movie of the year. Excellent scary movie without cheap jumpscares, solid thematic basis with a lot to say about child exploitation and abuse victims (and google MD moms IMO), and Sally Hawkins is incredible. A must-watch for horror fans.
October 14, 2025 at 5:16 PM
Witch Watch - cute little romcom with an insanely catchy OP1. And that's about all I've got to say about it. Textbook definition of 7/10, enjoyable enough that I'll probably watch S2 but I won't be counting the days till it comes out.

August - August was a rough health month. Ended up with an elbow injury that knocked me out of the gym until last week, and I didn't have the motivation to keep my diet up while injured. Finally back in the gym now so hopefully September numbers will look better.

Ruri Rocks - My favorite CGDCT show since Yuru Camp. Extremely educational without being dry, solid character writing, a very good OST, and drop-dead gorgeous visuals make this one an easy recommend for any slice-of-life fans.

Dandadan S2 - Excellent adaptation of one of DDDs best arcs. The subtitle TLs don't have the pop of the manga TL, and the anime doesn't do the incredible full-page manga spreads justice, but Sakata, the Kaiju mini-arc, and the romance are all slightly better here. Great season, S3 will be GOAT-tier.

Made it to the other side of the world safe and sound!

Red Eye - weird to see Wes Cravens name attached to a non-horror movie, as well as to see how bad Cillian Murphy's American accent was in 2005. Fun little thriller overall, rough around the edges but the core of developing terror through helplessness is pure Craven.

The Blair Witch Project - Really interesting to see this after I've seen so many more recent shaky-cam and folk horror movies. Definitely relies on that innovation to work, so doesn't hold up extremely well today, but you can easily see why it took the world by storm in 1999.

Catching a 50th anniversary screening of one of the GOATs today.

Carrie - Talk about a movie that grabs you through emotional resonance and doesn't let go. Wildly intense for a 50 year old movie, even by modern standards. Only let down by some rough supporting acting (looking at you 20-something Travolta) but absolutely holds up today.
August 24, 2025 at 2:13 PM
July - extremely late update, but July was great! Finally started losing serious weight again. Unfortunately at the start of August my arm got injured so that quickly ended, but I'll celebrate the little victories.
August 22, 2025 at 12:06 AM
Hell House LLC - A prime example of horror-dark-age found footage schlock, but I don't mean that in a bad way. Well made and just some good ol' turn-your-brain-off spooky fun. A great break for anyone tired of the modern glut of trauma-is-the-real-monster elevated horror trend.
August 14, 2025 at 12:37 AM
A Cursed Man - an interesting documentary that can't quite help but get in its own way by over-sensationalizing elements. Worth the watch if you're interested in seeing how different cultures interpret and practice black magic at least.
August 12, 2025 at 1:42 PM
Sting - fun campy romp. Formulaic but fun, easy recommend for some light B-movie watching.
August 8, 2025 at 10:51 PM
Jurassic World Rebirth - calling something the best Jurassic World movie is sort of like calling out the best smelling fart you ever made. There was a legitimate attempt to get the franchise back to basics here, but it was bastardized by obvious producer slopification and a lack of overall quality.
