Somehow the Democrats can win a landslide electoral victory and see Trump screaming at the Senate to either end the filibuster or cave in, and decide now is a good time to make a deal with zero guarantees for continuing the ACA subsidies. Schumer either needs to get the party in line or step down.

This is a line we can't cross. Do you trust Trump, do you trust Putin, Xi, Sharif, Modi, Netanyahu to stand at the edge of a nuclear precipice and blink? There is no path from the current moment without stumbles and bloodshed but nuclear hellfire needs to be off the table.
