My last salmon catches of the season from this last weekend! The runs were much later this year due to a lack of rain. Still always a thrilling fight when one of these decides to bite!

Caught a Coho salmon for the first time over the weekend! Had some troubles identifying it since it looks pretty similar to a rainbow trout. Really neat to catch a different species!

Salmon fishing was super hot this weekend! Lots of fights and tons of hookups with @anyare.art

We even did our first harvest this year and will be smoking those up, probably next weekend 😁

Tonight was my first time trying fly fishing!

I've never used a fly rod before, I've never had a lesson beyond YouTube videos, I don't really know what I'm doing...

But I caught my first fish on it 😁 a creek chub, but still a fish!

Well, farewell Anime North 2025!

AN was the first con I ever went to and it's been a blast over the last 15ish years I've been going (I really need to figure out the first year I went). I look forward to this weekend every year and it always goes by so fast!

Took a little while but finally caught myself a large rainbow this season! So glad to get one before they've all gone back to the lake!
