Post a video game gif from the year you were born
The intro to animation from Pokémon Red Version (US), as well as Red Version and Green Version (JP). It features a Gengar (back toward the camera) facing off against a Nidorino (facing toward the camera). The two slide into place from either side of the screen, simulating the camera moving around them. Then Nidorino hops back and forth, readying an attack. Gengar swipes at Nidorino, but Nidorino doges. Nidorino hops around again before pouncing at Gengar. At this point, the screen fades to white. Poor Nidorino never stood a chance though. For starters, it’s not a fully evolved Pokémon, unlike Gengar. Gengar has much higher stats than it as a result. Second, when it attacks, it must be using either a Normal-type move like Tackle or Horn Attack, which Gengar is immune to, or Poison Sting, a Poison-type move which has incredibly low base power on top of Gengar only taking 1/4 of the usual damage from it. Nidorino is a pure Poison-type, while Gengar is a dual Ghost/Poison-type. At least in Generation I, where this battle is set, there’s little to nothing Nidorino can really do to Gengar before Gengar knocks it out. Realistically, the only situation in which this Nidorino would have a chance at taking out Gengar would be if its trainer had been smart enough to use a Moon Stone (easily collectible at Mt. Moon), to evolve it into Nidoking. Nidoking is a Poison/Ground-type, which would be able to learn Ground-type moves, namely Earthquake, which would be super effective against Gengar in Generation I. In such a situation, it would still be difficult for Nidoking, as it could easily be taken out with a super effective Psychic-type move off of Gengar’s sizable Special stat, but it would still stand a chance if its trainer positioned it correctly. Though I must admit, my confidence in this trainer to utilize enough strategy to pull this off is slim, given that they chose to go into a battle against a Gengar using a Nidorino.

This is, of course, a work of fiction and has nothing to do with the real world.
