New blades are here. They don't cut much better but they do last longer.
Problem is the main root holding the stump in, seems to be under the tree. And now it's too dark to do anything about it. Sunrise is nearly 8am which isn't...great when I'm working.
Oh well, curry night for now.

@anthropy I'm hoping to get the garden tidied in the last few weeks before the weather turns properly foul, and install a pergola with a solar roof next year. At the moment I'm running six Suntech STP545S-C72-Pmh+ panels on the garage roof facing south-east.

@anthropy UKpol side - but we have problems with rich techbro racers and expensive cars racing around the roads in my area. The police can in theory seize their cars but it's rarely done... and the fine is maybe a few hundred pounds.

@ret to be fair any rotten wood will attract them. I tore down the rotten lean-to earlier in the year and every bit of timber that broke apart attracted a swarm of the little gits. They use it for fibres to build nests.
