Freedom of choice is the ability to make our own decisions. Sure, the scope of options is not always adequate, satisfactory, or only provides too many similar to the point of being unhelpful, but this is a separate matter. Anyway, there appear to be a variety of useless options in many cases.

Are you referring to "behind" or "beyond"? I wonder about both. We have no access beyond, but that doesn't diminish curiosity, while behind lies the complex workings of the brain, which are still quite enigmatic anyway.
