What makes it stand out? HELLO, it's Metis ✨ Just the best, most overlooked goddess in the Greek Pantheon (do not smite me, Athena, Hera, or Aphrodite 😅, but like, I know who *I* would have given that golden apple to). Anyway, whenever I don't know what to read, I pick this book up again ✨🤌

Ah, the dreaded rat-race! 😅 I should probably re-read this as well. Steinbeck writes so beautifully. I'll never forget the first paragraph of that book. All those colours in his description, just stunning!

Yes!!! It definitely needs a good setup to work! I'm still thinking the main antagonist has to die 😂 (although I love him). But maybe with the 2nd antagonist in play, he has a chance to semi-redeem himself in the final showdown. MAYBE. I don't want to make him ✨good...✨ but more complicated?

The antagonist can choose to embody the version of himself that the 2nd antagonist represents or support the protagonist, his better angel. And the protagonist can choose, in her defence, to turn into the 2nd antagonist and slay them both? I dunno. I have to think about it! Great questions! Thanks 💜
