WHAT a fun question. i can't paint the cabinets rn so to work with the honey oak wood i switched out the hardware from silver to matte black with warm brass to match the black granite countertop. and then painted it from baby blue to this bay water color, which goes with the dark den color!

a MESS. unfortunately i’m probably going to have to completely redo the hardwoods in here and use the good wood to patch the bad spots in the other room; good news is the floor in the other room is in much better shape! thank god we’re not planning on making any large concert ticket purchases soon

threw a (slightly delayed) galentines party for my friends today and it was great. i love to fuss. i fussed so much. we made valentines and paper flowers and cheese boards and a giant hostess cake with homemade marshmallow creme. even in the bad times we make our own flowers 🌷

ALSO two unnecessary gadgets i have that i love - this garlic press (it's flat, so you use two hands to press down on the garlic on the cutting board, and it's SO much easier to get the garlic out and clean) and i got one of those choppy vegetable things. onions make me WEEP but buying precut ones
