Bit concerned about the midfield, would've preferred Bergvall over Benta to aid ball progression against a team like Bayern (and presumably PSG, if this is the test run). Mainly just looking forward to some real Spurs games again, especially since both teams are going serious at it (lineups wise)

Intrigued by the Kota Takai signing, think he'll be solid, just wonder what it means for Vusko/Dorrington/Phillips and whether we play more 3-back (in which case, picking up the Davies extension would be a bit more sensible). My other qualm with the signing is that it's another right-footed defender

This Sabalenka-Gauff game has been incredible so far

Frank is a great manager and could still struggle at Spurs, Conte won the league with a relatively rag-tag Napoli squad after leaving us, Nuno took Forest to European places after a horrific spell with us, and the football infrastructure and environment will not lend Frank any favours either

Liverpool is probably the model we should try to aspire to in terms of achieving long-term success, and currently we have no chance of doing anything remotely similar. We will never have a Klopp because any manager with that kind of capability (Poch, Ange) will be thrown to the wolves first
June 6, 2025 at 9:16 PM
I hope fans who wanted Ange out are satisfied with the 'par' for next season, which would be a top-7 finish and top 24 finish in UCL group stage. Will back Frank to the fullest (if he even comes in, according to Ornstein we've not even made contact w/ Brentford yet), but it'll be a tough job for him

Anyone seeing the Victor Froholdt links for Tottenham? Might be legit, since he follows a decent amount of our team on Instagram
June 5, 2025 at 7:29 PM
While I'm a big fan of Ange and would prefer he stay for his third season compared to sacking him, hope Frank doesn't get too rough of a deal if he comes in, both with the fanbase and the team. It just feels like a messy situation all around, but Frank deserves a fair whack at it if he gets the job

For anyone who watched Brentford in 23-24, do they know why they could only finish 16th in the league? I know about the Toney suspension, but haven't seen anyone bring up that season when discussing Frank as our next manager. They got knocked out early from both cups too, so that didn't play a part

Anyone else on Cardoso watch? Curious how he does into this Chelsea team

Thinking on it more, I think Ange will go relatively strong for the lineup tomorrow. Predictions -

Interesting... so Levy still hasn't confirmed with Ange that he'll keep him on for a third season? I expect him to stay, for what it's worth, but found it curious with what he said at the parade.

Do they have someone doing sign language below the stage? That's a neat touch if so, just noticed some pretty conspicuous gestures lining up with what the announcer was saying

10 hours and a half left to the game, how is everyone else planning to use their time? Feels like a snail's crawl to me

The disparity in outcomes of the EL final are wild. On one hand, we have glory, Ange staying, CL footy and players wanting to join us for next season (and some changing their minds on leaving?). On the other, the season feels like it was all for naught, Ange leaves, and we need to start over again

Bissouma resurgence at this point of the season might be the story of the season honestly, even moreso than Spence earlier. Did anyone look at the first leg lineup and genuinely think that Ange put out the best lineup? Immense results gained by going against the grain, and now just one more left

I'm just so happy

Very much looking forward to Gray and Bergvall playing together in midfield

For anyone who likes sports manga about footy, especially the in-depth ones like Ao Ashi and Giant Killing, would recommend Catenaccio since it is written by a football sicko as far as I can tell. Can read the first few and latest chaps on MangaPlus, but might need to dig around for chaps in between

Optimism is scary, especially when it comes to this Spurs team, since it'll hurt more if it goes all wrong, but I still can't stop hoping for a win today. Really hope the team can bring it home, I have faith in them

Will say, felt Romero was absolutely immense in the minutes he played. Such a boon to have him back healthy, and surely worth managing his minutes to ensure he doesn't pick up another injury keeping him out for a while if he can give us this level of play when he's on the pitch.

Gray in midfield and Tel on the left flank playing off Solanke, colour me intrigued

Lineups released soon, so I’ll toss my prediction out there.

Would consider giving Scarlett a shot up top vs Fulham for a number of reasons. Solanke/Odo/Son have all played significant minutes in the last 3 games, and with Ange's comments on Tel, want to see him get a chance out wide. Johnson clear choice for opposite wing, which leaves space up top for Dane
