Researcher working on metal halide perovskites. I try to make them stable. (He/him)
Congrats Lukas :) very well deserved!

“The solar coating can be applied with any paint color and does not use silicon or rare earth materials.” Does not sound like perovskites (“any paint color”) or III-V (“rare earth”) for me - maybe a dye-based but then the 20% efficiency doesnt make sense. So not sure 😅

How cool!

Butylamine takes a H+ from methylammonium and forms a mixed 2D perovskite of BAMAPbI3 (the n is mixed). The 2D perovskite is then converted into a 3D perovskite with a conversion of FAI in butanol. One ends up with a phase pure FAPbI3 film.

Kann mir nicht vorstellen das es nur einen Grund dafuer gibt. Sind vermutlich schon mehrere Einflussfaktoren.

I have never heard an English speaker pronounce my first and last name right. But same goes for Germans at times - peak was when I got a swimming cap for Christmas from my coach which was spelled PhiLLippe.

Sorry to hear! One of the postdoc in your lab published in Nature after leaving the lab. He was driving for Uber at that time. Now he is a professor in Egypt.

I was initially sceptical. But Manuel (the first author) actually convinced me. 2D perovskites for catalysis might really work with further improvements!
