First space-flown patch added to the wall!

On August 29, 2024 Dr. Eiman Jahangir became the second human flown to space by @moondao.bsky.social, and this patch flew with him.

Work from home photos part 2. Getting the hang of aperture and shutter speed. All at ISO 200 to practice before shooting 35mm for real. Cloudy days make for moody scenes, I love it.

Found a Canon EOS 300D from 2003 in the closet. Maybe I should dig up my grandpa's old Canon AE-1 and try 35mm film

Yep. It's bonkers how many Starlink sats have gone up since 2019.

Blood is a renewable resource that is always available in a place of human habitation! But yeah I'd rather live in a potato hut than a scab house. 🛰️ https://www.manchester.ac.uk/discover/news/affordable-housing-in-outer-space-scientists-develop-cosmic-concrete-from-space-dust-and-astronaut-blood/

Story time. 2017, about to graduate from RIT. I went to NASA Wallops to integrate a payload to a sounding rocket and met dozens of master craftspeople who made everything look easy. This sticker was on a crate in the corner, been there forever. "Critical space item." Beat to hell. Still hanging on.
