I asked to borrow some tools to install it since we were traveling and I didn’t have mine.
He grabbed his coat and toolbox and installed the battery for me.

Money was tight that close to Christmas.
The guy at the counter took one look at the battery I chose and strongly recommended that I buy a better one because it would have a hard time starting in cold weather.

We asked the gas station staff and several other customers for a jump, but no one was willing. Finally after about a half hour, someone finally gave us a jump and we drove down the street to an AutoZone which was closing in a few minutes. I went in to buy the cheapest battery I could get.

A couple of years ago on the Sunday before Christmas, my family was traveling from Chicago to Indianapolis. We stopped in Gary, IN for my kid to use the restroom and when we went to start the car again, it wouldn’t turn over. It was brutally cold outside.
