If you’re in the tourism space, you’ll want to sign up for this.
Filed under Things I Should Have Done Sooner - I launched a monthly LinkedIn newsletter today. Decided to do it from my personal profile rather than my @tourismcurrents.bsky.social LI Page. It will have tips about digital tourism marketing, including social media:

Ah more enshitification. I was going to suggest the platform as a nice digital product option but I guess won't now
Wait.
Just found out that the CEO of Gumroad now works at DOGE? And that he saved up loads of money 'cause he fired everyone and replaced them with AI?
I'm leaving the platform as soon as I get my money. Jesus christ.

Alexi Pappas on time: “'I don’t have enough time' is not a useful phrase when it comes to anything related to your dream. It’s okay to actively choose to do something or not, but don’t blame time.”

This is more important than you realize. Bluesky doesn’t downgrade links. Which means news sites will get more traffic from here than other sites.

Which gives them economic reasons to post here first.
Bluesky says it is now sending referral traffic through its "go" subdomain to make it easier for publishers to track the traffic coming from the social network (Sarah Perez/TechCrunch)

What in the hell is happening here? How can ANYONE try to claim a sign that says “everyone is welcome here” is controversial?

Make these fuckers explain themselves. Specifically, who is not welcome and please, put it in writing.

I hate it here. It’s so appallingly ignorant and racist.
Teacher ordered to remove signs from classroom, including one saying ‘Everyone is welcome here’
"There are only two opinions on this sign: Everyone is welcome here, or not everyone is welcome here,” argues Sarah Inama, a sixth-grade history teacher.

The World Happiness Report came out yesterday, and here's their main finding: Acts of benevolence — helping others — predict happiness more strongly than income.

What are you doing to help others? Do you find it makes you happy? It sure does for me. Every little act does.

Did you know…

The world happiness study found that sharing meals with others was strongly linked with wellbeing across the globe.

Wow!!

You may think this is a frivolous question, but today — March 20 — is in fact International Day of Happiness. Declared by the United Nations in 2013, this special day recognizes the importance of happiness as "a fundamental goal" in people's lives around the world.

March 20 is International Happiness Day — a day that the United Nations had dedicated to the celebration of joy. We asked photographers around the world to share a picture that can bring bliss.

I’ve had a few “bad days” recently. Maybe you have too. When I am honest with myself and I look at the day that was bad, I realize it was just a few things that took less than 5 minutes of my day. I didn’t have a bad day, I had a few crappy things that happened to make me think the whole day was bad

Fred Rogers was born 97 years ago today, March 20, 1928. He’s someone I learned a lot from.

“Look for the helpers” is my favorite nugget of wisdom learned from him.

Happy Birthday, Mister Rogers. Thanks for all you taught and continue to teach even after your death.
