The publisher that I found after 26 rejections for "Prescription for Pain" -- Steerforth Press -- was, in many ways, the perfect home for me & that book.

Perhaps that fact can offer some solace to creative folks experiencing rejection.

It was a rough ride, but I'm delighted with where it ended.

A fact from my first book-pitching process back in 2020-2021: 26 publishers passed on the proposal that became "Prescription for Pain."

Eventually my agent and I parted ways, and I sold it without an agent.
