Wow their framing of the issue is so disingenuous. No study in the world can “rule out the possibility” that one thing causes something else to occur. If that was the standard scientific research was held to, then we’d ought to quit doing research altogether.

Better for 100 guilty people to go free than 1 innocent person to be convicted. That’s supposed to be the underlying principle. Our system is NOT designed to catch or convict everyone.
